Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Prelto, including the Prelto Mac application and website. By using Prelto, you agree to these terms.

1. Service

Prelto is a Mac app you use by holding a key and speaking. It turns speech into text at your cursor, answers questions about on-screen content, and drafts or rewrites text for your review. Dictation runs on your device. Ask and AI cleanup use an AI provider you connect with your own account.

2. AI Providers You Connect

Prelto has no accounts. When you connect an AI provider, such as OpenRouter or Groq, your use of that provider is governed by its own terms, privacy policy, and pricing. You are responsible for your provider account, its usage, and any charges it bills you.

3. Review and Responsibility

Prelto is a drafting and workflow tool. It does not provide professional advice, does not replace your judgment, and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated text. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before relying on them or submitting them to another system.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the audio, transcripts, notes, prompts, documents, and other content you submit to Prelto. You grant Prelto the limited rights needed to process that content, provide the service, secure the service, and support your requested workflows.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Prelto, including by attempting to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, reverse engineer restricted components, violate applicable law, infringe third-party rights, or submit content you do not have the right to process.

6. Price

Prelto is free to use. Prelto does not charge you; any costs for Ask or AI cleanup come from the AI provider you connect.

7. Provider Limits

AI providers set their own rate limits, credit requirements, and model availability. When a provider limits or rejects a request, Ask or AI cleanup may pause until you resolve it with that provider.

8. Changes and Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features over time. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use of Prelto after an update means you accept the updated terms.

9. Disclaimer

Prelto is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prelto will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

You can stop using Prelto at any time by deleting the app. We may stop offering downloads or updates. If you had an account with an earlier version of Prelto, you can request deletion of its data by contacting us.
