Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Prelto, including the Prelto Mac application, related cloud services, websites, and connected workflows. By using Prelto, you agree to these terms.

1. Service

Prelto is a Mac app you use by holding a key and speaking. It turns speech into text at your cursor, answers questions about on-screen content, and drafts or rewrites text for your review. Some features run locally on your device. Other features use Prelto cloud services and third-party service providers.

2. Accounts and Access

You may need an account to use cloud features, managed AI features, sync, billing, or connected integrations. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

3. Review and Responsibility

Prelto is a drafting and workflow tool. It does not provide professional advice, does not replace your judgment, and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated text. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before relying on them or submitting them to another system.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the audio, transcripts, notes, prompts, documents, and other content you submit to Prelto. You grant Prelto the limited rights needed to process that content, provide the service, secure the service, and support your requested workflows.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Prelto, including by attempting to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, reverse engineer restricted components, violate applicable law, infringe third-party rights, or submit content you do not have the right to process.

6. Billing, Trial, and Cancellation

Prelto is a paid subscription of $12 per month, billed through Stripe. New accounts receive a free 7-day trial that starts at first sign-in and does not require a credit card. The trial is granted once per account. After the trial, continued use requires an active subscription, which renews monthly until canceled. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal in the app; pricing and renewal details are presented at checkout.

7. Fair Use and Service Limits

Managed AI features are subject to fair-use limits, including request rate limits and usage ceilings that reset daily and monthly. These limits exist to prevent abuse and keep the service sustainable for typical personal use. If you reach a limit, managed AI features pause until the limit window resets. We may adjust limits over time.

8. Changes and Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features over time. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use of Prelto after an update means you accept the updated terms.

9. Disclaimer

Prelto is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prelto will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

You can stop using Prelto and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, abuse of the service, or non-payment. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
